It was built in less than 24 hours...and now this 2,000 person city is up and running and is the base for firefighters.
Tents line this once vacant field, mobile showers and sinks are set up, and chef Drew Hendrix can be found prepping dinner.
Hendrix and his team makes 6,000 meals a day. Tonight, was steak, cheesy potatoes and green beans.
The ICP really is the epicenter of firefighter movement. This is where they come to relax, eat, refuel and prep to go back out and fight.
Brett Haberstick, Public Information Officer for the High Park fire describes it as, "Energetic, dynamic and engaging. It is the place where friends are made, stresses are relieved and people come home."
