Mason Street Construction Drags On

Side roads along Mason Street were supposed to be opened up last saturday...but traffic is still backed up...and people are not thrilled about it.

Because of the rain, there have been set backs and officials are saying that the scope of the project was a lot bigger and talking a lot longer than anticipated.

By monday, Mountain will be open. And the other remaining side streets will be open up by the end of next week.

Burlingtion Northern Santa Fe Railway has been replacing the old tracks laying down new ones that way the City of Fort Collins can come in make Mason a two way street instead of a one way.

And to give you an update on what you can expect in the upcoming days…

-Mulberry will remain open

-Oak St. opened yesterday as well.

-Originally Mountain was going to open today,  but has now been set back to Monday.

-All other cross streets with the exception of Laporte will open by the end of next week.

-The City of Fort Collins has extended the free shuttle until today and monday, but not this weekend.
